Consultative Workshops on the EAC-COMESA-SADC Tripartite Free Trade Area \| March 2011 March 2011 Trademark Southern Africa (TMSA) have held consultative workshops on the COMESA-EAC-SADC Tripartite Free Trade Area (FTA) in Blantyre, Malawi on 24 - 25 March, and in Mahe, Seychelles on 28th April. The consultative workshops addressed the rationale, scope, coverage and timing of the Tripartite FTA, as well as a number of related issues such as tariff liberalisation, FTA negotiating modalities and Rules of Origin for the Tripartite FTA.
